This program was designed to make young people and their parents more aware of the issues involved with drinking, driving, date rape drugs and dating violence - and to provide some tools and resources for preventing these problems. We want them to understand the overarching theme of "You Decide" as related to these safety concerns.
The program is available on CD-rom and includes the following in PDF and Word format:
- A program leader's guide
- Dating violence quiz
- General information on date rape drugs
- Sample media fact sheet and news release
- Sample letter to schools
- Sample program checklist
- Evaluation forms
Copies of the program are provided free to CAEPV members to distribute in their local communities as a community service. Members can also use the program internally to heighten the awareness of teen safety among employees - perhaps as parents of young people, or addressing younger workers themselves.

Comments from a high school principal:
"I wanted to let you know that the "You Decide" presentation we had at our high school was a tremendous success. I had an opportunity to see three of the presentations and they were excellent. The content was right on target - exactly what the students needed to hear."
Here are some comments of students participating in the program:
"I learned I am in an abusive relationship."
"I learned I am in control."
"I learned what to do and who to call if I need help."
"I learned you don't have to do anything if you don't want to."
