The Partnering in Workplace Violence Prevention: Translating Research to Practice was a first of its kind conference taking place November 15 - 17, 2004 in Baltimore, Maryland. The conference also served as the CAEPV 2004 Annual Meeting Event. Partnering in Workplace Violence Prevention: Translating Research to Practice is the first time The National Institute for Occupational Safety & Health (NIOSH) convened a conference on the topic of workplace violence prevention.
The conference covered the four categories of workplace violence — Criminal Intent (Type I); Customer/Client (Type II); Worker-on-Worker (Type III); Personal Relationship (Type IV) — including domestic violence as a workplace issue.
