National
Conference and Project on Domestic Violence for Employers and Employee Assistance
Program Providers
Domestic
violence has a significant impact on the workplace. Many employers are addressing
domestic violence in their workplace, and there may be opportunities to build
on existing efforts, especially through Employee Assistance Programs.
The
S2 - Safer, Smarter Workplace conference
was the first national conference convening employers and Employee Assistance
Program (EAP) providers to leverage their work preventing and responding to domestic
violence and its impact on the workplace. The Corporate Alliance to End
Partner Violence hosted this national conference November 6-7, 2008, in San Francisco,
California.
In addition CAEPV has hosted ongoing webinars to continue the
dialogue and build capacity for employees and EAP providers.
